Approximately 28 miles and 40 minutes away from Venice is the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. If you are planning to fly into the Venice area from a commercial U.S. airline or a major international airline, the Sarasota airport is a good option. If renting a car, find your way to University Pkwy and take a left. This will lead you to I-75 S. Stay on I-75 for about 15 miles and get off at exit 200/SR-681. Take a right and head towards US-41/Tamiami Trail. Take this south and you will end up right in Venice. You can also take US-41/Tamiami Trail right from the airport. Instead of taking a left, take a right to Tamiami Trail and proceed south for approximately 25-30 miles. This will lead you passed Nokomis and right into the center of Venice.
