Description for Scenic Solitude Set on 2.5 acres of old-growth woodlands with views of the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Scenic Solitude certainly lives up to its name. But while the cabin, which sleeps 4, offers exceptional privacy and serenity, it’s also just 10 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to the Titanic Museum, WonderWorks, the Tanger outlet mall, dinner theaters, go-kart tracks, amusement parks, and more.

An A-frame log cabin with a huge wraparound deck, Scenic Solitude is picture-perfect. Large windows enable you to relish the view even as you relax in the spacious great room. Roll-arm leather couches invite you to settle back and watch TV, play cards, or bask in the golden warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. You can shoot pool too, at the great room’s full-size billiard table. Just don’t let the scenery distract you from your game!

When it comes to meals, you’ll have plenty of options. Scenic Solitude is only a short drive from scores of restaurants that specialize in everything from Southern favorites to pizza. If you’d rather eat in, you can gather at the indoor dining table, which seats 4, or dine on the deck. The songbirds provide the perfect alfresco soundtrack, and the fresh mountain breeze complements every dish. You can cook outdoors too, on the charcoal grill, or in the fully equipped kitchen. Whether you’re preparing a holiday feast or breakfast smoothies, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you could possibly need. The kitchen has a dishwasher as well, leaving you more time to sit on one of the deck rockers and revel in nature’s grandeur. And speaking of timesaving conveniences, the cabin has its own washer and dryer too.

Catching up on your sleep is one of the great pleasures of a getaway. Scenic Solitude’s 2 en-suite sleeping areas are restful retreats in and of themselves. Because it’s an open space, the loft isn’t technically a bedroom, but it certainly feels as luxurious as a fine hotel suite. Clad in lustrous wood and boasting a vaulted ceiling, it includes a hickory-frame king-size bed, enviable vintage furnishings, and a TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. Flanking the bed are nightstands with lamps so that one of you can stay up late reading while the other falls asleep. In lieu of a shower, the private bathroom has a sumptuous Jacuzzi. Your muscles will really appreciate the massaging jets of water after a day of hiking, biking, or chasing the kids around Dollywood.

The main floor’s suite includes a log-frame queen-size bed as well as its own TV and DVD player. Like the loft, it too has bedside reading lamps and a ceiling fan; if the hooting of owls and chirping of crickets don’t lull you to sleep, the gentle breeze of the fan surely will. The 2nd bathroom features a shower instead of a tub. You can still enjoy a restorative soak, however: The deck includes a large hot tub. Soaking beneath the stars while whip-poor-wills sing is certain to encourage sweet dreams.

Scenic Solitude has a creek located down below the lodge, relax on the deck and listen to the creek babbling downstream.

In addition to being close to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, Scenic Solitude is only minutes from many other area attractions. You can drive to Dollywood and Parrot Mountain and Gardens, for instance, in 20 minutes. A few minutes more and you can be hitting the slopes of Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on foot, bike, or horseback, or taking in the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, which include the Guinness World Records Adventure and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

However you spend your day, you’ll love returning to the quiet and beauty of Scenic Solitude. Book your stay today, and get ready for what might be your best vacation yet.

It was amazing!!!
Everything we needed was there! It was just as beautiful in person as the pictures! My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary with another couple and it was perfect! View was amazing and so peaceful. The name says it all and serves it justice. The hot tub was nice tucked away out of view and private! The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. I would highly recommend and look forward to our next stay there!!! The only recommendation I have is needs a larger TV in living room
Beautiful, spacious home - good location if you want out of the hustle and bustle
Stayed at this home the weekend of the solar eclipse. Huge wrap around deck made a perfect viewing area which worked out great. But the home itself was perfect for us. We had ten people. Home has four bedrooms, with three of the rooms having their own attached bathroom. No TV's in the bedrooms (OK with me, not with hubby!). Plenty of extra pillows, blankets, towels, etc. They even provided soap, shampoo like a hotel would. We had brought our own but still a nice thought. Home was very clean and the rooms were all very spacious - hard to tell from the pictures because you never know what you're really going to get. WiFi worked well. Great amenities to make your stay comfortable - rocking chairs, a swing and picnic table out on the deck. Lots of board games available, plus the pool table and air hockey. Kids stayed entertained. The kitchen amenities were kind of hit and miss - various assortment of pots and pans worked for us but needed Tupperware storage for leftovers. There were a million lids, but nothing fit the couple of containers that were there. We used our Ziploc bags we'd brought. They provided paper towels and dish soap. Our only complaint was that the hot tub wasn't heating properly during our stay - only got to 90 degrees. They sent someone out but he couldn't repair it during our short stay. Great response from the management team to verify our problem and try to rectify it, even following up after our stay. We were pleased with how they handled it. Things happen and it was a busy weekend for them, I'm sure. Need a new air mattress - channels are broken so it doesn't lay flat. Can only fit one kid on it. The location of the home was nice. We've stayed in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so this was nice to be out on the "quieter side". Trip up and down the mountain to the cabin took 10 minutes or so, depending on which way you went, but then you're right on 321 and can head into the park or over to Pigeon Forge from there. Or even over to Townsend or Maryville to avoid the crowds. The view? One side of the cabin looks into trees, but still pretty because that's the side that hangs off of the hill. The other side has more of a view - still some trees but can see another higher mountain over those. Very peaceful. You aren't alone, as there are other houses on this road nearby, but you wouldn't know it from the house. We had three cars - easy parking. Could have fit one or two more. RECOMMENDED!
Fantastic experience
Everything was wonderful! Easy booking, easy payment, incredible surroundings and comfortable accommodations!!
