Orlando may not seem like it, but it does have some great couple activities! While it seems more centered towards Children (courtesy of Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, etc.), Orlando does have a lot of things for couples to do around the city! So, let’s say you and that special someone find yourselves ‘trapped’ in Orlando and are in need of some romanticism, we’re here to help with a few suggestions!
Even though Disney is a bit more centered towards children, it does have a fair amount of things couples can do and find romantic. Epcot, for example, has many themed restaurants that also serve tasty food, if you want to experiment with your dining experience, you can! You can dine from Mexico to France; it’s a truly unique experience! That’s not all Disney has to offer, resorts like the Grand Floridian are perfect places to relax and grab a bite as well. Disney definitely has some interesting food choices, but they have a wide variety of activities when it comes to things of the romantic nature, yes, really! You can do Carriage Rides, Spa Treatments, Semi-Private Fireworks, Beach relaxation, and ride some of the slower rides. It isn’t the most private affair you could have, but Disney World certainly does have a romantic side.
Now that we got Disney out of the way, we can focus on lesser known activities for couples. Downtown Orlando has a lot of things that may pique your interest and it really varies here as well. During the day you can stroll through the Harry P. Leu Gardens, partake in Lakeridge Winery’s wine tour, view art at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, check out the Downtown Arts District, and share a view at the Orlando Eye! The Orlando Eye is fairly new and offers a VIP Experience that allows you to pick a date & time, gives you priority boarding, and a glass of champagne, so it can be very romantic as you go above 400 feet and look at Orlando from a different point of view! Private capsules are available but require at least 3 guests. An Orlando Eye capsule can be somewhat crowded since it is new and popular, so try to book and grab the VIP pass; it is only a few dollars more and offers a bit more privacy for you and that special someone!
If you find yourself wanting to be a bit like the night crowd, Orlando has a very happening club scene as well! You can try AERO, which is considered to be one of the top rooftop lounges in Orlando, it has music, drinks, and a view! If you’re looking for something a bit more old school you can check out B.B. King’s Blues Club, which can be found in only two other cities! It’s a place where you can sit or get up and dance, it serves Southern comfort food! You can also catch jazz fever at The Bösendorfer Lounge!
There’s actually a lot that can done around Orlando though and I haven’t even really began, but these are among my favorites and I’m curious to see what you have to add or to say about them, feel free to comment! The best suggestions will be added to the article with the author’s name attached!
