Novice and experienced golfers can appreciate Lake Venice Golf Club, located on the Gulf of Mexico at 1801 South Harbor Drive near the Venice Municipal Airport, Brohard Beach and Casperson Beach. The entrance and clubhouse are located on S. Harbor Drive immediately after Brohard Beach.

Lake Venice Golf Club has a range of facilities with 27 holes total. Get in a quick morning or afternoon game of 9 holes before meeting up with the family to head to the beach, or try out a combination of courses for a full 18 holes. The course is set up with three 9-hole courses that can be played together in three different 18-hole combinations.

Course combinations are First/Second, being the most popular and the longest course, at 6636 yards with a slope rating of 119. You can also play the Second/Third and then Third/First. Price stays the same no matter which combination you choose. The different courses gives you an opportunity to play three new courses on your vacation or to find the one you are the most comfortable with. All courses have a par of 72.

The best part about Lake Venice Golf Club is that it is located near the Gulf of Mexico, which makes for an excellent view, even if your golf game isn’t the best that day. The fairway is made of Bermuda grass and the greens are Tifdwarf. The first course is the longest of three, the second is known to have the most difficult finishing holes and the most water, and the third is the shortest. Water hazards come to play on the majority of holes, so there is no going around them, no matter which course you choose.

Lake Venice Golf Club also offers a professional golfer in house for advice and lessons. There is a driving range available as well. Rental carts are included in the reasonable price of around $19 for 9 holes of golf and $28 for a full $18. The Golf Club is open year round but winter rates are considerably higher priced, so call for specifics. They do offer some special summer rates, depending on what time of day you want to golf, so call for details at (941) 488-3948. Keep in mind there are no advanced tee times when you call.
