Siesta Key Beach is the life of the party

If you are young or young at heart Siesta Key Beach is the place to be, especially during the summer months. With the majority of the beaches in the Sarasota area being relatively peaceful and serene, this beach seems like it may belong in another town. There are nearly 800 parking spots available for the constant visitors and although this may lend the impression that Siesta Beach is crowded, there is plenty of room for everyone to have fun.

Siesta Beach is a wonderful place to get into a heated game of sand volleyball. A little further away from the beach there are fields and courts for soccer, baseball or tennis. It seems the fields and courts are always full of lots of energetic beach goers ready to participate in a sporting event. This is also the place to get in or stay in shape during your vacation, as Siesta Key Beach sports different fitness stations and mile markers to keep you in line during your workout. There is always room for bicyclists too with a bike path running along the Siesta Key Beach. If you get bored easily lying on the beach, pack up the bikes in the car and take a stroll down the entire 8-mile Siesta Key stretch.

This beach also offers plenty of opportunities for just relaxing and taking in the fresh air. There is no doubt Siesta Key beach stays popular because of the beauty of the perfectly clear white sand and the turquoise water that lets you see your toes as you wade through the waves near the shore. Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses because the glare from the flawless white sand can appear bright when the sun is out in full force.

The downtown area is also nearby, so plan your trip to stay for the day and enjoy the shops and restaurants in Siesta Key Village. To find Siesta Key Beach, take Tamiami Trail (US-41) North from Venice to Stickney Point Road. This will take you out to the barrier island of Siesta Key. Then head North on Midnight Pass Road, go about 1.5 miles and then fork left to Beach Road and you will find your way right to Siesta Key Beach Park.
