Palm Coast Restaurants
As far as restaurants go, I would recommend the following:
I would definitely recommend looking at the European Village (across the intra-coastal - 5 minute drive) as there are 6 other restaurants. Barbara Jeans is a seafood cafe and Mezza Luna is a nice pizza cafe with lots of outdoor seating. Here is a full list of all the restaurants http://www.evresort.com/dining.cfm
I've had several good meals (especially breakfast and lunch) at La Piazza Cafe in European Village.
The pizza restaurant - Mezza Luna - at European Village is getting rave reviews from guests. After all of these reviews, I tried the pizza and it was outstanding. The European Village should be one of your first stops in the Palm Coast.
The local place to go is JT's - 5224 N. Oceanshore Blvd (on A1A - near the Publix). 386-446-4337. Very good food and great value.
Outback Steakhouse - 45 Plaza Drive (Palm Coast) - A dependable and affordable steak house. 386-446-6280
Java Joint - 2201 Oceanshore Blvd. (a1a - in Flagler Beach on the highway). Views of the ocean. Outdoor seating. Eclectic, laid back and very affordable cafe. I thought the food was okay, but other guests rave about this place. Judge for yourself.

Mad Dog’s - 5949 N. Oceanshore Blvd. A1A - Palm Coast. A local landmark. Ice cream, hot dogs and grouper basket. Drive in service and picnic tables.
Thai by Thai - 124 Palm Coast Parkway. 386-449-0009. Tucked away in a strip center and a little hard to find but worth it. Great food, great prices.
A1 Japanese Restaurant - 208 St. Joes Plaza Drive. 386-446-0508. Tucked away in a strip center and a little hard to find but worth it.
I would also highly recommend an evening in old St Augustine where you can park the car and walk around some beautiful streets. There are many restaurants in St A but my absolute top recommendation is 95 Cordova in the Casa Monica hotel (phone 904-827-1888, 95 Cordova St). Make sure you book in advance and arrive early to enjoy a cocktail at the piano bar. They have valet parking (rare in St Augustine). They also do a great Sunday brunch but I prefer evenings there for the unique atmosphere.
Another three very good restaurants are Cortesse’s (904 825 6775) and Rain Tree (904 824 7211) both on San Marco Avenue. Also, I recommend the Columbia Restaurant.
For more casual dining, try the A1A Ale Works, 1 King Street (904 829 2977) for beautiful views of the Bridge of Lions and the intra-coastal from their upstairs terrace or Harry’s at 46 Avenida Menendez (904 824 3488).

2. Honolula Island Grill
Honoluana Island Grill, located at Venice Airport, which was formerly Honoluana Tiki Bar and it was also formerly the 44th Aerosquadron, back a couple years ago. Owned by a family. There son, Ron Westrom is the Executive Chef with 12 years of extensive professional culinary background.

3. Crow's Nest
Best restaurant on the island of Venice. Views of the bay. Expensive, but worth it for a splurge.
Excellent seafood - especially grouper Key Largo.

4. Dara Thai
Best Asian restaurant in Venice. I personally love Thai food and this is very authentic.

5. Casey's Grill and Tavern
Very good food and nice bar. Located off of 41 heading towards Sarasota. ( Near Hampton Inn)

6. Sharkys on the Venice Pier.
The food is overpriced and smaller portions. But, people come for the drinks and the sunset.
The best ocean side dining in Venice. Get there at least 90 minutes prior to get a table for sunset.

7. Pop's Sunset in Nokomis
The food is much better than Sharkys and much more reasonable. As are the drinks.
It is on the intercoastal - so you can watch boats and wildlife.
You just won't be able to see a full sunset.

8. Carrabbas in Sarasota
Owned by the Outback. Everything is made fresh that day. Great pasta, pizza and fish, chicken,
veal and steak dishes. I am amazed at what a great value this restaurant is for the quality of the food.
We have been to this restaurant over a dozen time and have never been disappointed.
Be prepared for a wait! No reservations which is the big drawback.

9. Bonefish in Sarasota
Also owned by the Outback. A seafood version - that is currently the rave of Sarasota.
The value is fantastic, but the wait can be ridiculous. Bring a few books and be
prepared for up to a 1 hour wait! No reservations which is the big drawback.

10. The Table in Sarasota
For a very special splurge, this restaurant is it in my opinion. You can travel to Lido Key's
restaurants for instance and spend more money, but this chef is currently at the
top of his game. An eccletic menu that changes monthly of food from all over the world.
